Combing inflatable paddle board and kayak design technology – Bluewave brings you the ultimate inflatable kayak which won’t fold in half the moment it hits some surf or mild water. This drop-stitch kayak transforms upon inflation, becoming strong and buoyant whilst still being easy to store and transport. This Bluewave kayak can be converted from a tandem kayak to a single use kayak depending on where the seat(s) are placed within the boat.

When fully inflated (max PSI of 10) this Bluewave kayak offers a rigid construction, providing an incredibly stable and comfortable craft. Designed for kayaking on lakes, calm rivers & seaside, the Glider makes a perfect kayak for anyone who loves an adventure without having to carry a solid kayak around. When deflated the Bluewave Glider kayak fits in the enclosed carry bag. The carry bag offers wheels to enable easy transportation of the kayak and removes weight concerns. Alternatively, this carry bag also features straps to allow the bag to be carried as backpack.

Tapered drop-stitch side walls provide high buoyancy and making the Glider exceptionally rigid when inflated. This kayak is additionally ideal for cruising with a light load, but also has the volume and storage space needed for longer trips. It is a great choice for everyone from beginners to intermediate level paddlers.

Paddle off the beach for some time out or use for family fun by transforming the Glider into a tandem kayak. The Glider inflatable kayak releases you for adventures without the fuss of roof racks and the worry of storage.

PADDED FOOT RESTS
For additional support, padded foot rests are provided as standard. Foot rests are offered for both comfort and to use as a brace. This foot rest design is stable and comfortable, made for short and long journeys alike.

FOUR PIECE PADDLES
Four piece paddles are offered in the place of solid paddles. The choice of offering four piece paddles is based on the transportable nature of the kayak. The four piece paddles can be clipped together and are designed to fit easily into the kayak’s carrier bag.

PADDED CUSHION BLOCK
Optional cushion blocks are provided with each kayak seat. These removeable cushions can be Velcroed into place if you would like more comfort or would like to elevate your height within the kayak.

LUGGAGE SPACE
The bungee straps and the bow of the boat provide plenty of storage space. Dry bags can be secured under the bungee straps, and other items can be slid into the space at the bow of the boat.

COMPACT AND EASY TRANSPORTATION
The Glider comes with a carrier bag that is designed for you to transport your kayak easily and comfortably. Depending on your preference or the terrain you would like to carry your kayak across, you can either pull the kayak carrier bag on its wheels or carry it as a backpack. The compact design of the kayak and it’s accessories means everything can be carried within the bag and it can be put into the boot or backseat of the car with plenty of space to spare.

The drop stitch kayak additionally results in a more rigid design than other types of inflatable kayaks. Compared to i-beam designs, drop stitching offers increased structure.

I love this kayak!

I've owned this kayak for nearly a year now, I've also owned 2 other inflatable kayaks and 1 sit on kayak, this is without a doubt the best I've owned. The dropstich technology enables the chambers to be inflated up to 10psi, the thing is solid when pumped up and is not like sitting in a normal inflatable kayak. If you're used to an inflatable kayak, it will feel tippy at first, but after a while it's no issue at all. With the plastic bow and stern mouldings and streamline hull design, this kayak is extreme fast on the water, quicker than some hardshell kayaks that I have paddled. The PVC material is extremely rugged too, after encountering many bumps and scraps, plus rapids on a 5 day river trip recently, not a single scuff was left. This kayak is essentially the Sea Eagle Razorlite 473rl that is around £1200 to buy, but I think the Glider is better as it has larger spray decks, additional D rings and cargo nets. If you are a keen kayaker and are thinking about an inflatable or upgrading, you won't get better for the money.

An inflatable that truly performs like a hard-shell

This kayak is everything you could hope for in an inflatable kayak. Since switching from my old Sevylor Colorado to the Glider, I find myself constantly overtaking other kayaks, both inflatables and hard-shells. Beyond that it’s also faster to inflate and the seating options are more flexible. You can sit in the middle if you’re going solo, you can get sit in the standard two-people position, or turn around one seat to face each other if only one person does the paddling. I’ve even used it with three people on board. This kayak is a bit more tippy than my old sevylor, but that’s to be expected and you quickly get used to it. In my opinion they’ve struck the perfect balance between speed and stability. The only thing I could fault the kayak on, is that it would have been nice to have handles in the middle to carry the boat over a lock on those solo-trips. This drop stitch kayak combines the performance of a hard-shell with the weight and portability of a conventional inflatable. I’ve spent quite some time comparing drop stitch kayaks (Razorlite, Bic, Itiwit X500,…) and found the Bluewave Glider is by far the most affordable.

I have waited a while to receive this kayak, but worth the wait! Arrived 30 may, on the water next day. We did about 5 miles on our local canal, although a little wobbly to start, after a few minutes feels quite stable and rugged. It didn't take long to inflate or deflate and feels very substantial after getting it up to pressure using the supplied pump. The seats are reasonably comfortable and there is loads of room inside the kayak for picnics/touring. I felt the overall package is very good value, it tracks well, goes well and plenty of room inside. Wipes dry in no time. On a slightly negative note, it is heavy once everything is packed away inside the bag (supplied), but that does have wheels. The only other thing to mention is not to try to turn too quickly, given the length of it. If you decide to buy one , you won't regret! Have fun.
